Preparing

We leave to cancun on Monday. I'm excited but mostly stressed. The thought of leaving the girls gives me hives. I don't know why I can't relax. Melissa will do great with the girls but I have this awful feeling that maybe I won't come back. I know I'm just being paranoid.

This morning I started hard core packing for the girls which really helped me. I went visiting teaching and picked up the extra crib. I worked out and made chili. It was actually a good day.

Family day

Monday was jammed packed. We did slit of things. Went to Wells Fargo, got Tyson's will noterized, went to Broomfield library, went to mall, went to subway, did work on the bathroom and vacuumed upstairs. Wow! Needless to say it was a busy day. On top of it all there was a huge snow storm. The girls were amazing troopers and it was a fun day because Tyson was with us. It's amazing what you can do if you plan the night before. I kept London in pjs all day because they were warm and soft and who dosent love that!

Saturday

Saturday we went to story time at Barnes and noble. We read books and did a cute craft of bookmarks with stickers. Sydney has really started to get into stickers. She is learning how to pull it out herself and put it on papers. She usually just piles the stickers on top of each other. After we stopped by the park because the weather was gorgeous!!!!! Sydney played in the slide. She freaked out when we had to leAve which is always hard trying to drag TWO babies to a car. Sigh. Still the day was too gorgeous to not be outside.  I wanted to show how I put both girls in the same single stroller. We have a great double but I took it out and forgot to put it back in.

It's been said : Sydney

Calling

Our friend Sarah and Jay left. We were not only super sad to lose amazing friends but Sarah, who taught the "family" sunday school class needed a replacement. Guess who got it. Me.

I use to LOVE teaching. I've done it for years. Tyson and I talk about how when we first met I was teaching Sunday school and the way I taught was one of the things that attracted him to me. He loved how I spoke with confidence and spoke from the heart.

Well now I have two babies and most days I feel anything but spiritual. I accepted the calling on condition that I would have a team teacher. Well see how that goes.

Well today was my first lesson. It was Lesson three in the Old Testament - the Creation. what? Yeah I was anything but thrilled. Still I knew one of my goals was to feel close to God and that teaching was a great way to do it. So I prepared all week. Still this morning I woke up at 630 to prepare. I got to class, set up and started. Oh man, the first 10 minutes was r.o.u.g.h. everyone was silent, I was sweating like a pig, I lost my train of thought. Awful stuff.

Still, I marched on. God answered my prayers and I was able to think of real life examples, which started comments, which lead to a great lesson at the end. Man I  was happy to have it over with, but I'm also happy I stuck it out. I'm happy I did not back down. I'm happy I prepared.

So here's to a new calling. I'm sure I will learn alot.

The pictures below are of that Sunday plus the day Tyson went to the instacare for his throat

Making bread

This week has been kinda all over the place. Ty got sick on Sunday night and the next 48 hours he was in bed. The girls and I kept busy but man it was hard to be a single mom those days. We made 4 loafs of bread. I accidentally bought white flour instead of wheat. I did my regular recipe and the bread still turned out awesome. The girls helped by keeping busy right next to me. I am also excited because I have bought 4 containers to organize my pantry. It is looking great.

Eleven Months

Eleven months

Weight: 19 lbs 2 oz

You are this close to crawling. You go a full circle and backwards on your tummy.

You take two naps. From 10-11 then 230-430

You eat three bottles. One in the morning, one at 430 after your last nap and then 730 right before bed.  but you are increasingly not wanting a bottle. sometimes it's just one or two a day. I started giving you a little water after lunch in a sippy cup. That time is fast approaching but I don't think you will miss your bottle much

You love playing with little people. You love to play peek a boo with Sydney

You like books. You turn pages and you like to pull tabs

You get really fussy in the evening. Like today you could not sit still during our skype chat with the Gerber family

You wake up super happy. You smile all the time and bounce with happiness when you see daddy or Sydney.

You started scooting on your butt last night on the bathroom floor. It's so cute! you can go further scooting that you can crawling.

You wave and say "hi" when we ask  you to.

You like beans, bananas, blue berries, veggie sticks, oranges, bread, rice and some pasta

You really only say "mama" "dada" and "hi"

You sometimes start shacking your hands, almost like saying "all done" in sign, but not sure if that's really what you mean.

I cannot believe you turn one next month. It's been such a crazy year London, however I could not imagine life with out you. I could not imagine Sydney's life with her sister. Sydney loves you so much and worries about you if you start to cry.

You are so easy going. You are the perfect playmate for Sydney and you are so patient with her. We love you Londini, gubber gunderson.

Play date

Today sugey and izzy came to play and what a blast it was. Sugey and I worked together at ESS. In fact she was my very first friend in Colorado. She had always has the kindness attitude. We also had our first babies 8 weeks apart. Needles to say we have had very similar experiences the last couple of years. We played and had quesadillas and cilantro lime rice. After we headed to the park but only lasted 30 minutes due to the wind. We came home and had cheesecake while the girls watched Daniel. It was a fun time.

Poop

So Sydney is going through a weird poop stage. I'm not sure what is causing it but it's like diarreah toxic poop. The second it touches her skin it gives her a rash. It's been happening for a week now and it's so sad. Yesterday we Let her walk naked for a good hour but her bum was still red. The poop goes out her diaper and we have to change her pants three times a day. This morning we found she had spilled over into one of our VENTS in the master bedroom! Tyson almost threw up cleaning it up. Needless to say we have had lots if baths and naked bum time. Today we are headed to the westminster rec center to see if we like it and possibly buy a membership.

Today

The new year has been nice and slow. After my parents left I got busy getting my house simplified. So the one thing I have found that I have been wanting is a Collapsesble colander. They are amazing!!! I got one from Walmart after returning some stuff. I took the girls and we walked every isle. Sydney found the books and was so excited to find new ones. I have been cuddling with Sydney during London's nap. We cuddle under the blanket and read books. Having Sydney like books is one of my favorite things we have accomplished. It's taken a lot of work and we have to keep it up or she forgets about it.

I am on a great purging kick. I have simplified a lot of dishes. I got my new stackable bowls and got rid of the other ones. I got rid of two colanders and pans we don't use. My kitchen feels great!

We found out we are headed to can in next month. We are excited and very nervous to leave the girls. I actually started crying about it last night. I know we need it but it's also very scary. I have been trying to eat so so good. I want to look good. I am also working out almost daily.
