Full Picture

I attended a cool "crepe" birthday party for Celeste Hutchingon in our ward. It was a blast. It was nice to have a reason to get ready and not automatically go into my PJ's after work.

We talked for hours, we ate really yummy crepes and really had a good time. It's amazing the network that Relief Society becomes. Celeste and I are due 5 days apart and she constantly telling each other how cute we are. Her husband Brian really gets along with Tyson.

I am proud to say that these are still my pre-prego jeans, but before you get all crazy jelous, these are also my most strechiest and biggest jeans I owned before - and they were hanging on by two rubber bands :)

Apple Peeler Adventure

Tyson called me Friday afternoon - he was ecstatic. He was at Ross and said he found the apple peeler that his mother had when he was a little kid. He said it was only $14. I usually am such a stickler on not making impulse purchases but he was soooooo excited that I gave in. He also found a great deal on space saver bags - which I wanted to increase storage.

He came home and I was skeptical. He grabbed one of our green apples and told me to stand back and watch the magic. The peeler sucked. It would not peel to save our lives. Tyson was so sad! I thought it was hilarious. He kept telling me that he remembered being on the counter and his mom letting him spin the wheel. He said it was "the coolest".

We returned our beloved apple peeler that same day.

Organizing and What not ...

It's been such a nice day today. The weather is great and I have lots of energy. ESS has been pretty slow so all that means ..... organizing day! I love days when I am slighly bored because I get real creative on what I can clean, purge, reorganize. Living and working at the same place forces me to get creative and think things through for the house. I want things to be really simplified when the baby gets here - it will make it easier for me as well as those who are helping me.

I know the baby will sleep in our room for the first couple of months and so I am planning on taking out my cedar chest and putting the crib in its place. I also did the following:

1. Cleaned out Tyson's drawers
2. Found Tyson's wedding ring he lost two months ago :)
3. Purged out two of my own drawers
4. Fit my ceder chest stuff into my very bottom drawer

My next goals are to buy the big vacuum bags and get all of our big winters coats put away so I can free up my front room closet. I also want to buy 3-4 plastic totes and start cleaning out our books and rearrange our storage unit so that we can start preparing for all the baby stuff we will be getting in the next few months. So excited! Another thing I need to prepare for is where I will put the guest that will come help me? I'm thinking that the office will be turned into a guest room with a bed and room for their clothes.

Rainy Days

Its been a rainy two days. We have even had a tornado warning and schools shut down yesterday. All the rainy weather has made it convenient to get caught up on much needed housework. My first trimester I was pretty much useless. I was sick all day and just made it through work and nights meant dry heaving and falling sleep at 8:30. Needless to say my house my was the the usual spotless house it usually is. My 2nd trimester has meant lots more energy and no nausea.

Yesterday I cleaned out my fridge. I washed all the cabinets and shelves in the bathtub. I scrubbed down the inside. It felt great. The only thing I still suffer from is just not being able to catch my breath and getting tired faster. I have to watch myself and listen to my body when I need to slow down. My mind goes the same speed but my body begs to be handled more delicately. Tyson has been amazing and is willing to help with what I ask him to - but it's also more than that. Yesterday he unloaded the dishwasher without being asked, today he cleaned up the kitchen after lunch. It's little thing like that that make me love him even more.

I am sleeping now 9-10 hours every night. I love it. Mornings have became so much more productive because I am ready to go. Tyson and I are enjoying the sleep. All of the sudden we realize how lucky we are to sleep in, cuddle and just hang out in bed. I know those will be cherished moments when our baby comes.

Outside of that, things are going great.

I almost forgot to post about Mothers Day. This mothers day was obviously different since the reality of being a mom in 4.5 months hit me. It was a great day. The weather was awesome. We slept in - gotta love that 1 pm church - and Tyson made me pancakes. He also bought me flowers. The coolest part is that two weeks later - those flowers are still going strong in my living room.

I called my mom to wish her a great day. Debbie was in Europe but we sent them txt messages. We came home from church and just hung out. We watched movies, we played card games. It was really nice that it was just the two of us.

PS. This picture is proof of a weird pregnancy symptom. You see I am usually a very clean eater but since getting pregnant I have the great ability to splater food all over my face - without even knowing it. Tyson will come home lunch and ask "whats on your face?". Sure enough some ramdom chili, powder or crumb will stick to my face. So here's to pregnancy - isnt it lovely?

10 Weeks Picture

Me at 10 Weeks ... I am thinking of doing one every 4 weeks or so.

BTW I have not been able to post because Blogger has had some major issues. I think I fixed it so that is why you see all the post I have been meaning to put up.

Ward Talent Show

We attended our ward talent show last night. It was a hoot! I made homemade rolls and we ate lots of yummy treats. Our favorite acts included "Bugle Boy of Company B" and the primary children doing Thriller. It was too cute. We came home and watched Bourne movie - I lasted 20 minutes and then was fast sleep.

Anyone that knows me knew I am not a night owl but since getting pregnant I'm sleeping 10-11 hours a day! I'm feeling lots more energy in the 2nd trimester but Tyson is constantly amazed at how fast I fall sleep.

My appettite is coming back slowly. I even ate two cookies yesterday. I really thought that being pregnant would make me crave all the little things I did not allow my self to eat before. Not so. I still just crave salads and fruit and actual food. I do eat a peice of chocolate here and there but no more than once a week. Tyson continues to be purely amazing and helps me around the house and with whatever else I could need.
